What Is an Optician?

An optician is not an eye doctor, but opticians are an important part of your eye care team. Opticians use prescriptions written by our optometrists to fit and sell eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Our opticians specialize in the selection, fitting and repairing of eyeglass frames, and provide contact lens dispensing services for our clients.

Our practice staff also provides new contact lens wearers with the knowledge and skills to ensure and achieve a successful start in wearing and caring for their soft contact lenses. Our optical staff is fantastic with our pre-teen and teen contact lens wearers. With patience, support and encouragement coupled with proper technique, all kids feel comfortable and confident when trying them for the first time.
