Borel Eye Doctors

	Three state licensed optometrists are on staff, all of whom are Board Certified and have many years of experience. All our doctors must continue their professional education and training every year in order to maintain their license. You will find each to be competent, friendly, patient, knowledgeable and interested in your health.
	Dr. Marcie Arnesty-Olian In 1987, Marcie Arnesty-Olian founded Borel Eye Doctors after starting her career as an optometrist in two successful private practices in San Mateo and Berkeley, California. She possesses a unique combination of skills, combining the art of optometry (frame selection, fit, design, patient-doctor rapport) with the science of her occupation (problem-solving, detailed product knowledge and laser vision correction). But if you ask anyone about Marcie, you will learn that her true love is people. She is a good listener, amusing storyteller, and as a result connects with patients of all ages. Marcie is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry (1981) and a recipient of several awards, including the Business Woman of the Year 2001. She enjoys cycling, mail order shopping, volunteer work, and lives in San Carlos with her husband, son, and her Frisbee-catching Brittany Spaniel.
	Dr. MinJung Lew Joining Borel Eye Doctors in 2005, is MinJung Lew, also a graduate of UC Berkeley, School of Optometry, specializing in Physiological Optics. She received her BA in Biology at UC Irvine. MinJung is one of the most pleasant individuals you will ever meet; always interested in you, your health and how she can help you achieve your vision goals. Her experience with young children has truly been a gift for our practice, as we have been able to help many more families as a result of her professional training. She instantly makes old and young feel at ease and welcome when being tested or fitted for contacts or glasses. An avid hiker, runner and cyclist, MinJung has great energy and focus. A resident of San Mateo with her husband Geoff, a Registered Physical Therapist, she also keeps busy volunteering her skills and is a member of the San Mateo Chamber of Commerce and professional optometry associations.
	Dr. Terri Mark In 1997 Dr. Mark began her employment at Borel Eye Doctors. As a graduate of UC Berkeley Optometry School, this smart and respected optometrist has become quite involved. She has become a mother of two, along with being elected the president, secretary and treasurer of two professional Optometric organizations. Patients like Terri because of her friendliness, up-to-date knowledge and problem-solving abilities. It may also surprise some to learn that Terri still finds time to enjoy jet skiing, rollerblading, baking and creating arts and crafts projects. She lives in San Mateo with her husband, son and daughter.
